nice platform to start with

what are the plans?

Im not sure yet ive only had it 3 days! It was running like crap, pulled the carb and cleaned. that's all I've done so far, runs like a top now

it has rear lift block now, front springs are flat and PO decided they would just put exhaust hangers on the springs(i have no idea why but ill post pics... ) I might start with a shackle flip and new 4" front springs and shocks.

Open to any suggestions on build.

Nice find:waytogo:

Would make a nice future tow rig:dunno:
I would shy away from beating it up. Looks to good.

Thanks!:D

Im not sure which direction to take it:confused:, could function as a tow rig:dunno: I don't think i will be beating this one up.
getting some ideas together and a good plan before ordering parts!
Im going to take a bunch of Pics later

i like it :thumb:

Btw stock front springs will be neg arched. Small lift will be flat, and possitive arch will be 4"+ or so

ON WITH THE PICS! feel free to leave me some suggestions!

X4 sadly. That is a 3/4 ton. It's a corporate 10 bolt front and a corporate 14 bolt semi floater rear end. Cool truck tho.

climbed under to clean some grease off

There is a lot going on this this truck... First, the front Springs have had a leaf added to them to lift it approx 2". So if you get a 4" lift, it will only be about 2" taller than it is now. Second, those don't look like hardened washers on the u bolts. Third is those u bolts don't look as big as they should.

If it is titled as a K30, I'm gonna go out on a limb and say some previous owner removed the 14 bolt FF and Dana 60 front...sold them, then swapped the 3/4 ton stuff under the truck and sold it. Depending on what you paid I'd consider going back to the seller, but that likely is a dead end. Anyone shady enough to pass off 3/4 ton diff's as one ton would just claim it was like that when they bought it.

Bit of a tough pill to swallow, but on the bright side the body looks quite solid.

let me edit some **** ha. it is not a 1 ton then thank yall for letting me know. i only paid 1200 for it so its not too bad to hear. I can guarantee P/O had no idea. he didnt drive it or know how to drive a stick for that matter. just let it sit in his back yard.

Yep! Just enjoy the truck! Sounds like you paid a fair price and are happy with it! Have fun, and you can still be proud, you just cant advertise it as "one ton". But who cares. Unless you are running tires over 35" and really wheeling pretty hard, you dont need the dana 60 anyway.

You have a great base to build your perfect truck that you want. nice score for a clean truck.
