1987 K5 Build (front tube bumper!)

Magnum!!! ? :saweet::saweet:
Not going for the magnum, at least not yet! I have an sm465 205 and sm465 208 combo. If I do a manual Ill use the 208 combo because I can bolt up an np241 to it in the future and have a 241/205 doubler for much less than the magnum box.

Pics with 37's, after rearend, before tranny swap

The Blazer with the 37's mounted, getting ready for a auto to manual tranny swap! The green on the fender is what I will most likely paint the rig.

The green looks great!

Thank! Now I just gotta find the color in the paint that I like to use! On a side note almost finished the tube bumper today, will post pics in the next couple of days!

Front Bumper Fab!

Ok This is just a fast picture of the bumpers that I am starting to fabricate for people, and myself of course! 2" .120 tube. There will be steel diamond plate between the front and back tube and a support going from the, I guess you could call stinger, to where the front and back tube meet, giving a nice area to step/stand on. As it sits now I have a 45 deg approach angel but it will increase when I move the axle forward. There will also be plate between the to bumper brackets to bolt a winch and tabs for off-road lights as well as 2 3/4 thick clevis brackets directly in front of the angel iron bumper brackets. the top place will bend down in front of the angel iron and then at an angle back to the frame underneath the angle iron. This is just a prototype but I think its looking ok!

Niiice put me on the list for One of those.:D

Will Do! Im gonna have it completed, hopefully, by mid week and painted and ill post more pics of it at that time! I can also do some customization so if interested just ask!

Are you going to be making them often? I'm still in this process of buying a blazer haha!:doah:

My plan is to go into production of front and rear bumpers, sliders, roof racks and cages. I have all the equipment etc, working on my business license right now, and decided to get and ARD license so I can do repairs etc. So yes I will be producing them often and, hopefully, for a long time to come. As soon as I get the business license stuff taken care of I will get setup as a vender on here.

Once I'm actually qualified, I could help you weld junk... :D
Ya know, for discounts, or whatever... :whistle:

Anywho....

Yeah those city GPS units don't work around here! LOL The earlier the better for me also! if you plan on getting here at 10 that would work good!

Mike, i think you should run a piece of tube from the bends on the hoop to the bends on the main piece. That would be alot stronger and look better imo. Just a thought for wheb u go production :thumb:
