Tinted the front windows. AC works better with less sun rays :waytogo:

What percentage did you go with to match the soft top? Assuming you matched the soft top that is. Im wanting to get the windows tinted on mine but currentlly running the hard top and want to get a soft top eventually so i would like to tint the fronts to match as close as possible now.

Did you see that rear AC install in the center console?

Martin
I have not seen that done. I would think a higher powered blower would be beneficial, or I possibly need to clean my box out. Had to pick some insulation out of 2 vents when I first got it. I’m sure there’s more in there

I noticed a while ago the front spring bushings were looking pretty dry and rotten. Got some ORD bushings and shackles to install. Along with Warn premium lockouts new, u bolts and steering parts.

Nothing real exciting took an hour tonight and finished the bushings up. The old rancho ones crumbled to nothing coming out.

Dont think I saw, does the k5 have 2” lift? Are those shackles stock length or longer?

I didn’t install the springs but yea I’d say they are rancho and appear to be 2.5” springs.
The HD shackles that ORD sells are maybe 1/4 longer than factory. Just enough to help them not hit the frame.

I really do enjoy driving this. Definitely the nicest blazer I’ve had. Drove it to work, then took the family to dinner. Gotta keep chipping away at the small things that bug me and I think it will be around for while!

Ignore the dirty. I try to drive it as much as possible. Touched up a few spots with rock guard and squirted some fresh SEM trim black on the top. Planned to do all new gaskets, instead I left the bead seal from the soft topper stuck on the cab and cut the one off the top. Seems to fit up pretty well like that.

Today I need to clean the hard water spots off the windows from sitting out all summer

"Dirty" I couldn't start with a new truck and keep it that clean. Beautiful K5!

Finally decided to fix the crack in the floor. It probably deserved a patch but it’s still a huge improvement. Nothing pretty about welding rusty cracked metal

I also found a decent used seat. The foam was way better than mine but the cover was very faded. Those covers are glued to to the foam but I was able to swap the good foam into my seat.
Before. Foam was done EAC6560E-F0C4-4CB4-BEF9-B0C38546F886.jpeg
Foam replaced. Still has some of the winkles from old foam but it’s so much better
