1988 gmc 2500 overland build

It finally stopped raining around here so i had some time for upgrades. The stock tbi 350 is gutless even being rebuilt so i thought i would try so cheap induction upgrades. I did a throttle body spacer, injector pod spacer , salad bowl and k and n filter. I dont know how much power it added but i can feel more power every where in the rpm range. I might try a chip next. What are you using for exhaust? I've used Magnaflow with great results. You made the right choices on the TBI and now, if you have not already, open that exhaust and let it breathe.

So far just a high flow cat because i failed smog
 
Major update time. I have been waiting on parts since october . I ordered ORD custom 4" springs, full crossover steering with psc pump and box. Dana 44 knuckles all new brakes, bearings and balljoints. Also got the long travel rear shackles and front sway bar for crossover steering. I planned on installing all this myself but landed a massive side job that is taking up all my free time so i farmed it out to my mechanic. Next up is to figure out what im going to do with the shocks. I want to go with some 2.5" shocks but i dont think im going to have time this year to get something fabbed up and installed. Other option is 5160s for now
 
hell yeah man! looking good! i went with oem replacement springs + zero rate (rear) and longer hanger (front) + 33s but i've been really eyeballing custom ord springs...this isn't helping!

I had the 2" ez rides and 33s which worked great but wanted to be able to drive faster on fire roads and desert stuff. Even with shocks that are way too short i can drive way faster offroad while being in control.

I have said it a lot. The difference can't really be explained. Most won't believe it, the experience tells it.
 
Tom Woods drive shafts came in. Front fits perfect but they screwed up the rear shaft. Going to have to wait till tuesday to figure that out20220528_120310.jpg
