1989 Chevy V1500 Suburban... number 10?

Wife's newest Suburban
Almost, should be ready Tuesday or Wednesday. He was finishing up a job on an RV blocking the exit while I rounded up the final parts.

Found out what I thought were 2"springs were actually 4" springs so I scrambled to get another set of blocks and longer u bolts. Luckily I had longer shocks laying around. The front driveshaft will need to be replaced with a longer one but it's close enough for the street.

This morning I ran up to pick it up. Once on the trailer I pulled the running boards off to make room for the 33"tires and headed over to the tire shop to have them mounted. The wife is very happy to have it back.

Looks good. Those tires are nice, I put a set on a truck here at work but holy crap they want a premium for them.

Drove it a bit and found an issue with the front shocks last week.

At first I thought mt friend forgot to install the spacers but quickly realized the bushings disintegrated and fell out.

I tried a quick fix that would have been ok on one side but the other side actually didn't have any bushing left.

I purchased those shocks several years ago on clearance for a 4" lift. Now I know why they were on clearance and ordered a new set of Rancho 5500 to match the used set on the rear.

Tonight my wife installed them.

I think she was happy with the results.

My wife has a guy lined up to repaint it. Likely going with the cyber gray metallic like was on her 2010 Camaro.

She wants to get rid of the red. Probably use a blue for the second color instead but sounded like it will only be in the clear.
Well that sounds cool. As long as you do something to keep the original favor of the truck. I think the red would be fine. Go to a deep red metallic or something.
Either way I can't wait to see it done

My wife has an eye for color combos and used to pick all of the paint schemes for her dad's hot rod shop when he was building cars to flip. I have no doubt it will be awesome.

This one went on the market and was sold to fund house projects but I kept the wheels and tires. I also have a new K5 build to post as well which is another big part of the reason this one was sold.
