1989 Suburban, Manual trans, Which transfer case?

That's the confusing thing. Mine has the Silverado 4 headlight grille but was base equipment for everything else. It even had the little Silverado badges on the front lower corner of the fiberglass top too. Mine was a government order though so they did get to order off the menu so to speak.

I'd have to go back to my build thread and look at my options from when I decoded the vin. It's all listed there.
I thought Scottsdale was a base model and Silverado was the top of the line.

You are normally right. But like I said before mine being a government unit they were allowed to order just about any option together.
I think that is what we have here, mix and match institutional order. AC but manual windows and locks. Front bench seat and rubber floor. I am not seeing usual option package type of groupings of the accessories. Decoding the RPO will be interesting, I only got a quick look at the label, part of it was covered in dirt. Pretty sure I saw G80, fine if it holds together I guess.

Yep fleet orders were pretty odd too. Seeing as how the university has always owned it, I'd say the SPID label should be accurate. Too many times the glove box is swapped due to the stupid hinge breaking.

Mine has crank windows, no a/c manual locks, rear speaker delete, no rear interior panels and rubber floor but with the option V22 chrome 4 headlight grille. I will say this I'd much rather have the 2 headlight grille setup. The quad headlights suck for light output.

THREAD DERAILED!:D Sorry Hank
Actually I met the guy at Applebees at 53rd and Wadsworth. The Sub is in ok shape, drives good except 1st gear is mia. Has an ARB in the rear and judging by the compressor it is an older one. I have 3 different deals in the works right now with this one at the bottom of the list.
I will update next week when I try and recover the thing, hasn't run in 10 years.
Sooo been sitting for ten years you say? I guess this is going to turn into a build thread. What year is the nv 4500 you are installing?

No worries on the derail. I will throw up a thread on recovery and build next week when I get my hands on it. The NV4500 I have is the early one with the low 1st gear, 92 or 93 I think. I am not sure if I will put it into this or not. Lot of irons in the fire right now. My V3500 engine is getting pretty tired and I use it to tow my snowmobiles up the mountain. I have an 8.1 for it so if I start the swap the burb will take over for a while if it runs well enough, I think it will. My V3500 is a manual with a round 205 so the NV4500 could probably go in there too behind the 8.1. I might just leave the burb stock for a while and see what I really want to do with it. Both my V3500 and K5 are on 37's so a stockish burb might be useful for running to the mountains this winter. Lots of icy road and the K5 has a detroit so not ideal.
My stash of square parts has a lot of possibilities, several 14B FF, D70 FF dually, D44 front, D60 front, couple sm465, nv4500, couple 205 fig8, 241vss, rebuilt carbed 454, good tbi 454, good 8.1, and 3 running trucks now with tbi 350's(assuming the burb runs well). Time to decide where all the parts go for the long term.

Did we just become best friends?!
Your parts stash sounds identical to mine, hell your vehicles selection is almost the same also. Good thing we are going to live to be 100!
