Yes it’s ugly. Yes it’s my first patch. Yes it’s in a pia area to fix. But it’s getting there. Going to finish tacking it in today and then seam seal and put the new carpet in it. This thing is about to go to daily driver status for a bit as the wife’s Durango is in the shop for a fuel pump and wheel bearing and front end work so she’s driving my tundra.
Started the carpet replacement. Kinda aggravating but kinda gratifying at the same time. Bought the kit from Auto Custom Carpets. Made in the USA. Fits good and plenty of extra for trimming and fitting.
Wife’s Durango was in and out in under a week so we just made it work. Ended up just needing motor mounts, tie rods, both rear wheel bearings, and a new battery cause the year old one took a dump.
To close the thread down, I sold her today. Dad looking for his son’s first ride//first project vehicle. Son is 15 so they are gonna finish working on her. Dad had a Toyota pickup as his first truck and his son has been looking for a 4Runner. Bitter sweet but I think my friend would be happy with the choice.
