1990 GMC 3/4 ton Suburban with fuel injected 350 V8, automatic transmission and 4 wheel drive. Sits on 35" tires with a 3" Superlift lift kit. Original axles - 10 bolt front and semi-floating 14 bolt rear, both open, with 4.10 gears. Has power windows, locks and mirrors, new stereo, front at rear A/C. A/C works but needs charged. Pictures don't show it but also has the third row seat to seat 8. Interior is in good condition. Bumpers are 3" Smittybuilt tube bumpers. Also has 3" performance exhaust system. 4 wheel drive works great.

The odometer reads about 213k miles but many of the parts are newer including:

throttle body injected 350 crate engine with ~45k miles
TH400 transmission rebuilt ~35K miles ago
newer drag link, upper and lower ball joints and tie rod ends
newer fuel pump and filter
newer radiator
new water pump

Had a tune up last summer including new plugs, wires, distributor cap, rotor, O2 sensor and fuel filter.

Damm I wish I knew you we going to sell it a month ago I would have bought it. So what are you going to wheel now that the burb is going away?

Hey Bo, I wish I'd have known too. As for wheeling without it guess it'll be my '90 Jimmy with 10-bolts, 3.73 gears and 32" tires...that's how I'll be rolling, for a while anyway.
 
Well good to know you will still be wheeling with the colorado crew. Kinda funny I bought the wife a 2000 suburban about 4 weeks ago and I told her boy I wish I could find a nice burban like Jason's rig. It's all about timing:rolleyes:

Jason, what kind of gas mileage do you get with this? Talking real #'s here. Could I make this a daily driver? Or would it be better with 33's?

Do you have the stock suspension/shocks? I'm thinking maybe 32's with no lift may be good too, but not sure with gear ratios.

Oh, and was this lifted with blocks or springs in the rear? And how manu dents in it since I know it was wheeled some?


And I wonder if I could find another pair of captains chairs to replace the middle seat bench. Hmmm.....

Let me see if I can answer some of your questions, Mark...I'm not real sure about mileage since I never really cared. I tried to calculate it once and figured about 10-11 mpg - mostly mountainous highway driving on that trip. I don't see why it couldn't be a daily driver, in fact the guy I bought it from commuted in it probably 40-45 miles per day. He indicated that if he were to keep it the next set of tires would be 33's. I don't think it's bad the way it is but I suppose that's personal preference.

I do not have the stock springs and shocks since I didn't do the lift. If you look at the original tire size, which should have been 235/85R16.5, that's just about 32" so you'd be back to where it was stock. It was lifted with blocks in the rear and has dual shocks in the front.

As far as dents go what are you implying? :D Kidding. I only wheeled it a couple of times on relatively easy trails so the only dent is a small dent on the rear quarter panel just behind the tire on the passenger side, I think (which was there when I got it, by the way). If you're looking for it you can tell the sheetmetal isn't right but at casual glance it's not really noticeable.

Thanks for the info Jason. I was hoping closer to 14-16 or so. I know I used to get 15-16 with my 88 on 33's, but I think it had like 3.42s or something.

It's too bad I didn't sell my quad. http://coloradok5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=224928 I would have a definate use for the $$...

I have been wanting to get another Burb. I'm hoping for a 89-91 3/4 ton with the converstion kit, which cmes with the 4 captians chairs.
