Hi Guys,

My 90 K5 blazer will stall in gear.........BUT only after its WARMED OVER, I've got new plugs, wires, cap, rotor, EGR, Idle air controle, coolant tempt sensor,.........motor has no miss to it, no hesitation during acceloration. I cant figure the GD thing out.........but my 95 chevy truck has never done this to me.

Blazer should have a smooth idle to it while in gear, but only has it while in park.

My Blazer also has a rougher idle to it in gear..............compared to my 95 chevy's 350...........and both those motors/EFI set ups are the same........any ideas on that?

its fuel injected, any thing coming of off the EFI was checked for any cracks ect,.........I didnt find anything,

The only thing I have not replaced yet.......is the thottle postition sensor...........and I have to test that to see if it needs replaced.

Hmm just wondered. My 93 gmc vandura has tbi and it had a bad vac line up to the canister once and was stalling alot.

Does that thing have a lockup torque converter? Some systems won't let the lockup kick in until its in closed loop.
So, if it kicks in at idle, that will stall it out for sure.

If you have a 700r4 trans, it will have a torque convertor lockup solenoid in it.

When my Mom's Chevy Cavalier's TC solenoid went out, it would kill it in gear, or make it want to stall out whenever you let it idle down to idle rpm.

I'd look there first since you've done it all, except for the TPS and the ignition pickup coil.

That is a decent way to test it, although it will require more gas pedal to get it to move since the TC won't be locked up.

Since the TCC doesn't lock up until after 45 mph and 3 rd or 4 th gear, operating temp, and maybe closed loop, it will hardly be noticeable. Therefore the TCC isn't applied during acceleration anyways, and he won't notice any more gas pedal.

Your talking about the 4 plug on the side of the trans correct? Mine doesnt work, no juice to it anyway, and I think it drives fine
