Working on a 1990 K5 and am ready to put tires on. Would like to go with 33's. Truck is very stock low miles no sag. Can I get 33's and not have to worry about any fender concerns. I do not want to lift the truck at this time.

Thank You

Yes, if you put them on the stock wheels or wheels with similar width and backspacing.

That said, if you flex the wee out of it you would probably get rubbing.

Narrow 33's would also work better for eliminating the rubbing issues.

Hey TC Thanks
I'm 70 miles to the North of you.

I ran 33x12.50's on my 82 with very little touching...none under normal conditions.....just full tuck did I touch...

No problem.

Petoskey?

Low mileage eh? Where'd you get yours? Just got my K5, had Big Ugly for a while. Had to go a ways to get both as everything around here is rusty or over priced if it isn't.

Oh, and we like pics!

Pics will be coming as I learn how to use this system. Petoskey was a good guess. Bought the truck just about 3 years ago. locally from original owner. It had the factory step panels on it so by the time I got it the floor was shot. Did a total floor replacement this winter along with a few other things. Dont you have a discount tire in TC? Think they would stock 33's? Stock aluminum wheels to go back on. Would love to do 33x12.5?

That's cool. I want to put the largest tire on the standard rim as I can. I have put some effort into the truck and would hate to tear up a fender.
Thanks for the response

I believe 10 posts and you get the option of putting pictures up...I forget. It's easier if you buy a membership. Best $25 I spend every year on my trucks.

You should be able to get a 33x12.5R15 on the stock 15x7's or 15x8's without any drama.

Yeah...we have a Discount Tire and a Belle Tire...but they're all trained monkeys. Personally I like the guys over at Tire Factory. Good, knowledgeable guys who you don't feel overly worried about handing your keys too. They also like interesting work. They see so many minivans and sedans anything old and 4x4 brings a crowd.
I was at the Jeep Blessing in Mesick in May and there was a tire place in Cadillac advertising some good prices on muds and 4x4 tires. Friend of mine got their card. I'm not going to be doing anything too soon but I want to either put some 31" or 32" muds on it. The 31" AT's on it now are a worn a bit funny and have probably seen their better days.
