What’s up everyone! From central coast California

Just traded my boat for a 1982 K5 blazer!

smog exempt it was a diesel. 12” lift, 38s, triple bypass kings front, fox resi rear, Dana 60 front axle, corporate 14 bolt rear, hydro steer, SBC 350 blueprint crate engine with “1000 miles”, 4:56 gears

I’m using my cell phone how do I post some pictures for you guys?

So pictures are never fun for noobs!

However, if you do the premium membership, I promise it is worth it!

Ohhh gotcha! It does need some work so having the ability to post pictures of different things I working followed by a question would be convenient!!! How much is it? Can’t find prices?

I think it’s $25 or $35 a year. I sound like a stupid sales guy

Welcome to the club!
Sounds like you got the better end of the deal on that trade. :waytogo:
With 38’s and 4.56 gears I’m sure you’re lacking some power. And check to see if the gears match front and back - sometimes people cheap out and only do the rear and put it on the ‘to do’ list to get to the front but it never happens. What transmission do you have? Also, 12” of lift must be hell on your driveshaft angles and kill your u-joints. Has the steering box weld in patch been put on along with the steering box brace? If not I highly recommend it with larger tires.

What does it have on it for a lift? Bypasses on a 12inch lift springs wouldn't do much :haha:
It’s on leaf springs

@ACTIONKING12 you should be able to insert your pictures by using the three dots to the right of GIF and selecting the Camera icon and then picking the images from your gallery (from your phone if you already uploaded them to your gallery). Otherwise just attach the images to your post here and then click on them to insert them (took me a couple clicks from my phone).

But he posted pics of his rig here:

hey thanks. yup, there it is!
finally having a chance to look under the hood. ive been busy having fun at KOH.
ive found lots of oil under the engine and transmission. gonna do a good pressure wash and degrease. then take a good look around.

Are you sure its an 82? I see ABS on the master cylinder which was a 90/91 item, not something folk generally swap on. 89-91 clip is an easy swap, but that coupled with master cylinder make me think its possibly a 90/91

Very nice clean looking rig. 12" lift springs are terrible, but what you have is some combination of smaller lift springs and dropped spring mounts. Get more pictures of the suspension front and rear if you can because you're sure to ask questions and the members here can give great advice if they know what they're dealing with. A lot of good mods here: crossover steering, hydro assist, roll cage, shock hoops, etc. Most here will probably suggest lowering it a bit for stability and ride quality and selling off the Thornbirds. They are high on the list of worst tires ever, so you can get more performance and ride comfort with something else.

Assuming you don't want to step down to smaller tires, you should look into lower gears.

Funny you say that. New tires are one of the first things on the list of things to do. I appreciate the advice. I’ll get some more pictures posted when I can.
