1990 K5 - The Dent Side K5

90 K5 Blazer on tons and 37’s
Top is off for the last time. Selling the hard top, going with a soft top.

Also, leaned my lesson on wheel studs. I wanted to put the 3” ones on since i am running aluminum wheels. The ones that Lugnut4x4 sell do not work. The knurl doesn’t have a taper like factory so not even a 20 ton press would get them to move. Dorman 610-563 went right in but damn they are expensive.

Back on all 4’s.

Have the tube doors on with side mirrors, the JB Fab triple stick hooked up, brakes are fully bled (still need to adjust braking bias on the proportioning valve), and the driver seat harness back in. I’m going to drive it to the exhaust shop tomorrow so hopefully she holds together haha.

Not on the rear. The shocks have another 1” down. I figured I’d be ok?
When inertia pulls that axle down at speed it’s gonna go farther than static sag. Definitely don’t want your swaybar links to cam over. I would 100% get some in there before you get jiggy with it.

In the last picture, it might be a funny angle. But it looks like the the spring eye/ shakle bolt could possibly contact the tailpipe. Possibly even more so, when the engine is under load or vehicle is at higher speeds.

It does have a cat on it. The exhaust guy was actually trying to push me away from it since it’s registered in a smog on title transfer only zip code. I wanted it to help keep the exhaust fumes down.

And i think it was just the angle of that last picture. If the shackle swings in and hits the exhaust I’d have other issues.
