1990 v2500 Canyonero

Pardon my flex with my under hood light that still works. It’s the little one that goes between the evap and condenser where the orifice tube is. I did replace that just for fun when I did the condenser, drier, and compressor.
Can’t read the pressures cause I sent back my Chinese gauges to Amazon because I felt like I couldn’t trust em.

They are honestly worthless for big ol toe meers but I’m liking them for what they are.

Ive gotten on board with the power mirrors, definitely a clean look, and on a rig without lot of chrome, they seem to fit better, and look better than painted dumbo mirrors.

I thought i had seen options for the power mirrors to extend them for better visibility with towing. I would like to have the turn signal indicator on there like current trucks, but i guess the power mirrors on squares havent gotten popular enough for a vendor to make trick ones yet.

There is these for them . I had a set for my old 96 c3500 years ago . Worked good for what they were . ( pic for design reference )

Man I have been thinking of this and I am not sure I’m gonna. If I did, I’d hate that the mirrors and side molding won’t “match.”
A lot more collateral damage than the un-91ing of the crew cab. And it’s gmc which is kinda cool.

It is gonna be a dance for sure to get the intercooler in like I did before so that may be the deciding factor. Who knows.

The 89-91 GMC >>> Chevy imo. Grill and bezels are way better. Looks sharp, im just trolling.

I love how originally the plan was just loud exhaust and couple small things and has morphed into a ‘forever suburban’ scale build lol. The ck5 effect coupled with addiction for squarebodies. Love it

It was only supposed to need a couple small things! Lmao to a normal person this would have been fine and ready to go as is. I just got to make my life difficult to feel something I guess.

You got the excuse you needed to redo everything lol.

So cool it’s front spring day! But of course there’s a curveball. First time seeing 9/16 bolts for both ends of the spring and of course I didn’t buy the new shackles cause the 80-91 have thicker shackles and these were nice. Very oem appearance if they aren’t.
Stoops!

87 or 88 they switched to metric over the std size . why all lifts show 73-87 and like 87/88-91 different bushing kit.

Yeah but that just means the shackles got 1/2 inch instead of 7/16. It does say in the parts manual but doesn’t indicate what rpo or anything but they are different for sure.

Well I learned something today.

I finally got mine apart in one piece.
Upper is still 7/16” in the frame but 9/16” at the spring eye. Mine is a ‘90 1500.
