1991 v3500 - big dumb lifted forever truck

Yeah the other option was to machine two extra grooves in the balancer and use the stock pickup. Or do some resistor crap which is beyond my skill level.

Definitely gonna glue these in this time.
I used sealing compound for freeze plugs but should have used retaining compound such as green loctite. I honestly didn't think this would happen.

The back one is leaking too but stayed in place cause I put the block off plate. So the next one fell out instead.

I've always used 518 on freeze plugs, never had an issue. I like the block off plate idea, I think I'll build one for mine

?? Help a old blind man understand what I’m looking at.

I was once told…

A blind man on a galloping horse in the dark would never see it.

Im riding that horse. :haha:

The whole drivetrain shifts forward pretty significantly apparently. When under a boosted launch load it is basically coming forward about 3/4" and then when you do that a bunch of times it eventually kisses the radiator and makes a hole in it.

I bought new motor mounts and in the oem application they have these big rubber spacers that go in front of the motor mount to prevent this. I never knew what those were for but today I learned.

If ryan can drive it like this several times, I'm gonna ok. It was at 115 when the tires came off the ground.

I have 3/4" space from the blades to the radiator. I thought that was enough. What mount setup was it that did that? These are second 94-98 dodge.

I believe mine was about the same, maybe 1". It lunged forward to on me when my transmission snapped and moved it all forward, not really sure honestly. Probably the motor mounts being worn? Either way, whole trucks torn apart now.

I got the exhaust pretty much how I like it. Looks like a good fit after a bunch of cussing and money. It is so nice having a muffler AND complete exhaust compared to just 8 feet of exhaust pipe. Tidy up soft fuel hoses and tcase breather tomorrow. And probably the second crossmember and skidplate.
Engine bay is nearly finished. Next thing in there is the AC hoses.

I need to get the headlights figured out woth some backfeeding when they are on. Then its off to get inspected and start dailying it.
I still got that 3 dollar diesel in the tanks.
