1991 v3500 - big dumb lifted forever truck

Talk of ORD springs is always centered around lift and travel, did you order these purely based on lift or with a work aspect? If work, did you have to estimate what you might tow or haul? Will the pack still be similar to other packs with 8-10 thin springs? Any overload springs?

I am mainly focused on ride quality and to maintain my current height. I have air bags for towing and any excessive weight. I just want the springs to be a pleasant daily. I think I have about had it with my local road conditions. These will be here before that’s ever fixed lol.

I did not ask about pack construction so I’m guessing it’s going to be your typical high quantity thin leaf we are used to seeing.

That's the best of both worlds, smooth springs and air bags for hauling

Todays your lucky day! I’m going to katemcy for rocktoberfest.

Here’s you notice and/or reminder…

Video of the Blazer wheeling.
Video of the crew cab doing anything.
Also, a post about how the crew cab works vs expectations.

This was always my dream/vision with my crew cab, Congratulations on reaching your goal!

Ok deal. I’ll start with the k30.
Expectations exceeded power wise. Pulling and egt are manageable and it doesn’t lack power at all. It does however lack the firmness and just better at everything towing of the dodge. 06 2500 cclb g56 4x4 for comparison.
Some would call that old truck charm though. It’s loud and rides bad with 65 psi in the bags and some good tongue weight. It’s not as point and shoot straight driver as the dodge either. Noodle frame and push pull steering leave something to be desired.
Overall it’s not a luxury tow truck, but I’m gonna pick it every time.
