1991 v3500 - big dumb lifted forever truck

Yep. Love the big trucks. I'm on the fence between replacing my current 6" kit with 6" or 8" of lift. Granted, mines a Burb, but @1-ton 's pic has me wanting to go BIG!

Was it coverlay brand?

I don't think so (in the spirit of pure honesty...I'm not sure what you really mean by "coverlay brand", haha). Mine goes over the existing dash pad. You take a razor blade to any high spots such as cracks, and then it comes with adhesive...you just glue it down over the existing dash pad. It looks pretty darn good IMO. Mine's been on the truck for the last year and still looks great. No as expensive as a full dash pad, but looks way better than the crap carpet dash covers. So I felt like it was a good middle ground.

Like I said above, if your pad is really hammered, best to go the full pad replacement route, but if you just have a couple cracks and the overall pad isn't too bad...it's a good option

Lifting my truck led from one modification to another. Everything from brake line brackets to exhaust system had to be modified to make this lift work.

I vote for 3 inch lift in the front, and adjust the axle forward to compensate any more, 2.5 inch shackle flip out back.

You just described the exact lift on my crew cab ;). I did end up installing an EZ inch in the rear to still give the truck just a tad bit of front rake to it so when I towed and the rear squatted it didn't have the rear sag look so bad

Yeah. Don't let it fool you. It's streaky af. It's still wet lol

Also use Duplicolor, they have the best fan type spray pattern for good streak free results. This is the last complete rattle can job I did. My problem is usually patience when painting.

Any mods to the steering with this?

1" AAL up front, nothing out back and minor trimming IMO. I put small 37"s on mine with just an AAL up front and pushing the axle froward 1" I trimmed more than I needed but have no rubbing.
