1991 v3500 - big dumb lifted forever truck

Yeah sure! I'm looking for an OEM hand throttle. Nos or not. And the 81 5.7 diesel tailgate emblem. I need one.

That's better ;)

And I hear ya, I felt the exact same way when I did the 8.1/NV4500 swap in my crew cab. It felt like every other day I was dropping a couple hundred bucks on stupid little crap just for the swap. It's worth it in the end, but sucks when going through it

Also, when are you planning to start the drivetrain swap? I imagine you want everything ready to go to make the swap go as fast as possible huh (cause I know you still use that truck a lot)?

I drive it all the time. Its runs and drives so well as it is no reason to take it apart. Most likely around September or so is when I expect to be ready to swap. If I have my way it will be a remove replace swap. The more prepared I am now with forward thinking, the better my swap will go. Like the f700 brackets. There are parts available to make this thing bolt up like oem which is how I want it to appear.
I also found this turbo 90 so I can run my filter to where the battery is now. Came from a freightliner fl60.

People say cummins swaps are easy. Yeah they are but mine is over the top. Way unnecessary. It's not just a motor swap. It's a column and pedal swap, core support swap with intercooler, radiator and condenser crammed in, firewall work, fuel filler necks and new tanks, fuel lines, the seats have to come out to do insulation, 205 has to shift got to make the tach and gauges work, two new driveshafts, then put the dana 80 in and make the cables work off the pedal, still got to regear and build the 80. Jeez. Is it too late to back out??

Alright, alright... I was trying to stay civil in this deal but you 2 may force me to bring out the $5 foot long and an Icee. Just sayin...

(interpret that however you want :D )

This sounds pretty close to everything I did on my crew cab too. I did more to mine too cause I wanted it to be a real clean nice truck (and I'm still not really done...many more things I want to do to mine to make it even better). If I was swapping the same drivetrain into more of a rock crawler, it's would've been about half as much to complete it.

Again, it sucks looking at that list now, but it'll be worth it in the end. I just look at my crew cab as a lifelong truck. I'll never sell it, when I die my family can fight over who wants it. But in the meantime I'll always be doing something to it

Been driving it as is. Getting parts for the bucket swap. Grabbed some luxury items yesterday. Glove box courtesy lamp and lighted visor. Cloth with extensions!!! High cotton over here.

Pull handles for above the doors and a solid console with a nasty liner.
Anyone got tips to clean this thing?

Grabbed some raggedy ass 88 burb buckets out of the trash.
Old style reclining with double armrest.
Rethinking the low back because of no armrests.
#diva.
