1991 v3500 - big dumb lifted forever truck

Thanks! Lol you're right, its definitely gonna be crammed in there.
So much for the oil pan today. Got some sick kids.

It's a g56 6 speed. 07.5+ dodge. It's what I've got in my dodge and it drives excellent.

very Dodge

Ouch. lol I do think dodge products are some pretty legit drivetrain.
1972 dodge dana 70 front
2002 dodge dana 80 rear
1996 dodge cummins
2014 dodge g56
1993 dodge np205

It does make me feel better that I've got a little bit of ford production parts sprinkled in there too.

LOL! Sometimes I wonder? Why not just build up a Dodge?
It doesn’t take long to remember that GM looks cooler!

Well you wanna get technical with this, Dodge didn't manufacture anything on the list above. Dana produced the first two items listed, Cummins produced the next one, Mercedes-Benz produced the g56, and New Process produced the 205.

Just because those parts were sourced from a Dodge doesn't mean they're Dodge parts, so.....

I always laugh when people say, "Dodge is awesome because of Cummins" and I always reply with "No...Cummins is awesome because of Cummins. Dodge just pays out the butt to have the contract"

Yeah I definitely know that. It's part of the reason I own the damn dodge, Cause everyone else made it.

that made me laugh :haha:

And one thing I'll always give dodge is they always know how to make a good looking vehicle. Most all their makes and models (cars or trucks), styling wise I like. They just have to stuff it full of drivetrain from everyone else, cause that's what they suck at :D

Just read front to back, you’re a bit farther ahead on your Cummins swap than I am. A full month and some later, any progress?

No, my common rail decided it needed the cylinder head to come off. Got studs though.

I have the dana 80 done now. Trying to figure out what I'm going to do for a boost and egt gauge. I have autometer gm match but they clearly are for gmt400.

Ryan had a baby. We were going to swap this at his house November and December. And here we are............

Makes me chuckle. The Cummins set up and service techs at my work drive gas powered Chevy vans. Apparently Dodge is so awesome that even Cummins doesn't want to drive their crappy trucks.
