I bought a 91 v3500.

Going to build this truck to be simple, reliable, and comfortable enough to take the family anywhere from the state parks to the county fair. And look ****ing badass while I do it.

So this came off of a local training campus like a tech school. no idea what its duty was there but it has 80k miles and the maintenance intervals are written in paint pen on the fan shroud. Drove it home 30 minutes without a hitch. I will be the second titled owner.

Oh my...I do love me some square body crew cabs!! Going with an NV4500 to match your blazer? Mines an 89 (same grill), if I would have had the 4l80e, I would have left it and just focused on the motor, but mine obviously had the TH400 and I wanted overdrive, and the manual swap was real easy.

I'd say 8.1/NV4500 swap...but I'm kinda partial to that for some reason

Nice score for sure. Looks like it's in pretty good shape and looks to have one of those rare 4l80e/electric speedo np205 combos you only ever hear rumors about lol.

It is in fact one of the things that never seems to exist. This tbi 350 is nutless as hell and it needs 4.56s with these baby tires lol. It does chug along at 70 just fine though.

I ordered a bunch of crap for it this weekend and today. Notably the cheyenne pickup brand dash pad. Eager to see that piece. I will be ordering the usa1 front door panels to match the rears I picked up off 67-72 board.
Did some vent window latches. Made all the doors shut well. Fixed the tailgate lights and the dome light. This high tech truck has a buzzer when you leave the lights on!!!! Incredible. Going from and m1008 to this is like getting into a cadillac.

Am radio!! You gotta be kidding me! It works great.

I did find a wet passenger side floorboard. Doesn't smell like coolant alot but kinda does maybe a little. Either way it's saturated.

I did find a good spot of rust though. Not sure how to go about treatment.


Lastly the oil pressure gauge is wiggin out. Is that the one behind the distributor?

While I'm fixing the gauges I'm gonna try and install a tach. No clue how I'm going to do that.

96 p pump 12 valve is the plan. This winter the motor is getting torn down and inspected.
Nv4500 and 205 are built and waiting.

Good luck with the tach install. The electric speedo clusters are pinned completely different from previous years plus there's a box shape place molded in to the cluster shell to accommodate the speedo circuit board.

I do have 91 FSM's if you want to use the wiring diagram book (or the other books).
