Paint was not doing what I wanted so maybe 3rd time is a charm!

It makes it hard to finish anything, costs me lots of money, and opens all kinds of cans of worms. I learn a lot though, usually the hard way, like now, dont let paint get too thick without lots and lots of cure time.

Sanded on it some more, and it is a little scary!!

Time for bed!!!!

How cold is it in your garage? If it's anything less than 60* the paint will do that every time.

Right on the nose 60. Most of it was fine and looked great but there were spots that wrinckled and cracked. Guess I will sand it do some more touch up glass work and prime it then let it sit for a few days till it warms up some. I got the exhaust to do still.....

Might be the tempature, the kimd of clear, or tje way I am spraying the metalic?? My clear is laquer so gonna get some enamel, then gonna try going very light coats on the metalic, its supposed to be in the 70's the next few days so that might help. Also gonna wait at least 3 days of dry time before I spray the clear......or should I spray the clear right away before it dries good??

I usually give the color a day before I put the clear on, that gives the color enough time to set and show any defects that might pop up.

Well on the good side I got shafted today!!
