1993 3/4 Ton Suburban Build (Solid Axle Swap)

What does that do with how the system works ? Why not just pull all the stuff out ? Or would the computer not like that.

That sounded bad, I meant the part of still having ABS on the rear axle but not on the front. Pulling the bulb fixes the light but the system is still there.

As @GWeakland620 stated, I literally haven't done anything with the ABS. Just unplugged the wires to the front and zip tied them up. In fact, now that you guys mention it, I don't even have an ABS light on either :D.

@kgblazerfive so far I haven't noticed any weird brake issues with leaving the ABS alone. The brakes act completely normal (same as my V3500 with no ABS system). Now, mine is a 93, and I'm sure the system was a bit more refined for the 96+ models to where pulling the ABS fuse or something like that could be beneficial, but as Greg mentioned on his 2000 K3500, he did the same as me and doesn't have any issues either (other than the ABS light on).

Always good to see pics of projects in use. Keep it up.

What better way to test the reliability of one of your builds than drive a ~2300 mile round trip to see family and drop off & pick up parts with your brother. Surprisingly everything went smooth with only a handful of little glitches. The old TBI454 with 200k miles did pretty good. I swapped the BFG’s from my crew cab onto it to help out with gearing since I was towing there and back. My starter tried to give up on me on the way out. Changed it when I got to my dads house. All in all, everything went good. Even the cruise control works, haha
