1993 3/4 Ton Suburban Build (Solid Axle Swap)

I think my plan is eventually I will build some sliders/steps that are more functional for both getting into the truck but also protecting the rockers.

I also was going to pull the grill off and paint it black, but it's kinda beat up and broken, so I'm just going to buy a new aftermarket one

Thank god you painted those, so much better. Now put in a chrome grill as God intended. And polish or replace the foggy headlights and that will be a real looker.

Lol I was just going to say you need to do something about that white grille and mirrors and front bumper. I just got a grille and a headlight/turn signal kit from 1aauto.com and it fit perfectly and a decent price.

I was kinda thinking of going a full black grill. I think a black grill and painting the factory fender flairs black would be a real good look. We'll see what I can find.

And for sure I'm going to probably just get some replacement headlights and be done with it

I think I may put some later model tow mirrors on this thing (black obviously) and eventually I want to get rid of the stock bumpers and put some aftermarket beef bumpers on with a winch on the front...but that is a while down the road. We'll get there ;)

So now you want an OBS that is white with a black grille and black fender flares? Why don't you go ahead and rock some black steel wheels haha.

Then you can tow your blacked out blazer with your white and black OBS, then I'll do the same thing.

I'm kidding. I think it would look real dang good.

It will have black steel wheels eventually too but no hubcaps, because I don't subscribe to the weird stock hubcap fetish that everyone else has on this forum site...I actually can't stand the look of stock hubcaps, it's usually the first thing I yank off trucks I buy if they are still there :haha:

Either way, I need a square crew cab to keep up with you.

What's a OBS?

Thank god. I thought I was the only one on this website that hated the stock hubcaps!
It'd be different if they were actually good looking!

I can’t say what I want to say. Lol

I’m finding myself doing that more as I get older.

The term OBS stands for “old body style”. It refers to the 88-98 gmt400 platform.
