1993 3/4 Ton Suburban Build (Solid Axle Swap)

Just ordered my front drive shaft for this thing today. He's hoping to have it done by Wednesday, but if not it'll be next week (with the Holiday being this week). So soon @mrk5 can stop giving me crap for my 2wd SAS'd suburban :rotfl:

Finally got my front driveshaft today. Took forever cause my order kept getting bumped for harvest guys who needed their stuff done now, and I wasnt in a hurry. Didn’t bother me cause I got a real good price on it. CV at the top with 1310’s in the CV, longer slip, and a 1330 at the axle since thats what this ford axle has stock.

So now @mrk5 can suck it cause this thing is 4wd again :rotfl:

For all I know that's a picture of any random front driveshaft. I don't see anything that proves what rig it's in....

Love this thing. It’s just perfect.

I to am looking at a 2500 suburban for a extra vehicle/hunting rig/backup tow rig/mild wheeler kinda thing. After reading this build it just makes me want to go ahead and do it even more.

Keep up the good work and updates on all 3 of your rigs.

Thanks. So far it's been an awesome rig to have around. Still goes down the freeway 75 mph just fine (cruise still works too, haha), I used it many times this summer to tow my boat to the lake, I've taken it hunting/fishing, and I plan to use it for some snow wheeling adventures this winter as long as time permits.

There are still a few things I'd like to do to this thing, which includes bumpers front and rear, winch, replace the stock crappy ford tie rod with a beefier one, at least a front lunchbox locker, and possibly a roof rack. So more stuff will happen to this thing in the future, but as of right now it does everything I need it to. My wife has even driven it to the store a couple times, haha

Took the burb hunting, and couldn’t help myself when I found some rocks to flex the thing out. Not amazing flex, but not bad for what this thing is built to do. Its an awesome hunting rig with heat front and rear and plenty of room for people and gear
