1993 GMC VANDURA G2500 *TBI HELP*

Turn up the screen brightness!!! Lol.

Oh and I did the Noid light test. It did not flash or blink or anything.

Check for 12V at the injector connector with the key on. Obviously you need to use the chassis as a ground, not the other injector wire.

Found a busted wire in the one literally 6" section of the harness that I hadn't opened up.... Lol.

Thing fired right up by barely touching the key.

It runs so good. Its almost a shame to sell it.

Sweet van, needs a front axle don't you think? :saweet:

A 4x4 conversion, mildly lifted, small/mid size tires would be extremely sexy and useful as a driver/camper/parts chaser.

I bet "crusty" in your area is more like "nearly rust free" in my area..
:(
I'd keep that if I were you...looks a lot better than mine does..

I've often been tempted to convert a van to 4wd..one "does it all" vehicle--party bus,off road camper, driveway plow, people hauler..

I've hung onto my van since 1990,when I bought it for 500 bucks with a "blown tranny"--it was just a stripped govenor gear, had only first gear and reverse..had 138,000 on it but the old man I got it from took good care of the oil changes, the camel humper straight 6 still ran nice, but I stupidly desired more power and swapped in a 307 from a '73 Chevelle--poorest choice I could have made,(115 HP in '73! :doah:)...the 250 had 130 HP and about 10 ft/lbs more torque..

But it was about the only carbed small block I could get for cheap money,or at all in my area back in 2002--I think the 250 six had more low end--2:73's I put in it after the 3:08 original diff made for sluggish takeoffs and the ability to wind up to 75 in second gear..it was good on the highway,a dog around town..

I like the floor cutout job you did--you must be good at measuring,if I tried that I'd have a 3x3 foot square area hacked out and still would have missed the sending unit !..

Can't really haul a trailer with it.

It's a 5 lug 10b rear "3/4 ton"

I am buying a house next spring. I'm gonna need a real truck that can haul a trailer etc.

Blue truck is actually rust free.

I agree,if I had the choice between the two,I'd be torn whether to keep the van or get the truck.."no rust" beats "crusty" unless your talking a desireable muscle car or something with high value once restored..

Actually a full sized LWB van of that vintage makes a decent tow rig, though by no means an equal to a Dually..

--but I've had friends with vans like mine who towed their race cars to the dragway with them without troubles, despite the 5 lug axles..
(ditto for a 1/2 ton 2wd 454 Burb one friend had,he towed cars to NC with it more than once and no troubles with the drivetrain )..as long as the trailer's brakes worked OK it was smooth sailing..
The vans may have been a bit underpowered going up the steep grades in NH to the dragway, but 90% of the time there was heavy traffic, and you couldn't get up to the speed limit anyways..

I don't think my van would tow much more than a riding mower though, with those steep gears and a tired 307 under the hood!..:(

Still have it.

Not many hits. I think its the creepyness.

Its too bad because it drives really well.
