or outa line all together,
Thanks for any and all input and idea's
Well my neighbor has 1 for sale
says it gets to operating temp
and will quit but runs fine till then
and will restart once it cools down
he has no idea why or what causes it
and said i could have it for 200.00
its a very nice looking car for the $$
if its a cheap and simple fix il buy it
so do you K5'ers have any idea's or thoughts
on what it might be

but he said he replaced it,
i just dont wanna buy it and it be more money
than i can afford to fix

cars like this are problematic and are nickel and dimers, im sure it wont be the last thing that goes wrong

i would go with a componenet overheating on you such as coil pack, etc.
check for spark, see if its blue or orange or white

blue or white would be good, orange would be bad

if nothing then is bad pack or bad crank position sensor
