I have a 1998 Chevrolet Silverado that had a leaky manifold gasket. I ripped it apart and put new gaskets in and hooked everything back up. Thought I had the distributor in right. We cranked it and it wouldn't fire. So we messed with the timing awhile. Made sure it was on TDC #1 with the pressure blowing my finger off #1 spark plug hole and the timing mark on dampener. Screwed with it and screwed with it. We only got it to sputter and spatter. Never really ran just wanted to. I was wondering if there are any tricks or hints to getting a computer controlled vehicle like that to run. Wasn't sure if it was different from the older 350's or not. Any help would be great.
