Just missed out on an awesome 72 in Tucson AZ just couldn't find a way to get there fast enough etc.. Haven't had a 1st gen yet but always wanted one. As of right now the "plan" is and you know how plans change, is a resto-mod 1st gen.

You looking for something with all the expensive bodywork / rust repair completed...... (ie. $30,000 1st Gen) that you can just add suspension and fun stuff to?
....or are you looking for that elusive $5000 1st Gen (with the hidden $25,000 I.O.U. for rust-repairs and paint)

Only two types of 1st Gens seem to exist anymore..... $30,000 restorations or $5000 basket-cases.
I know that yellow '72. The owner has a bodyshop and seems to do good work from the photos I've seen. That '71 is awful.... maybe it's someone's taste but I don't think most people will pay that much money for something that's been customized / ruined like that.
