glad to see your build it looks good. low and capable, are you doing any trimming?

did the poly body mounts firm things up at all ride wise? been considering them for mine.

Definitely gonna be trimming. need to get a cutoff wheel for my grinder and been workin' crazy hours this week.

Burb hasnt moved yet. Just put everything on this week and am finishing up all the small stuff. gotta drop my rear driveshaft off to get a 1410 yoke welded on cuz that's what is in the rearend. Tell you what though, the Energy Suspension polymounts and ORD 1"bl netted almost 2.5" of lift:eek1:. my old rubber ones were toast.

Truthfully I probably won't be able to tell if the bodymounts alone are different cuz EVERYTHING from the body/frame down got swapped this week with bigger, better, new parts.:D

-rubber to poly bodymounts w/1"bl
-33" radials to 39" bias tires
-10bolt axles with gearing for nascar to fully rebuilt 1-tons w/4.56's
-old, worn, supersloppy steering to all new X-over parts
-blown shocks to new shocks all around
-blocks out of the rear to shackle flip
-swaybar off the front
-toasted old brakes to all new 1-ton brakes w/stainless lines all around

gotcha. i'm debating on replacing the uber sloppy ball joints in the 44 vs saving the money for a 60. never been a fan of throwing money at a turd

Well I gotta ton of stuff done on the burb recently but.......left my camera at my parents the last weekend we were down:doah:. Basically have everything bolted up. Had a new rear driveshaft made. 3 1/2"tube with 1410's at axle and 1350's at transfer case. got the front shaft bolted up 1310/1350 ujoint. Whole new driveshaft built with new ujoints and new 1350 slipyoke for tranny was only 300 bucks. both yokes in the axles are ubolt style:D.

Need to get my new rear brakeline hooked up and fill/bleed brakes. Need to fill both front/rearend with fluid. Greased every zirt I could find haha. (gotta get two new ones for the bottoms of my knuckles cuz tehyre broken of)

Ran into some trouble with my X-over. I have a brand new bent draglink I can't use for the moment haha. I didnt know that if you have zerorates then the bent draglink and dropped pitman will cause the draglink to hit the leafpack without a spacer or thicker steering arm.Thing is I just bought the studs from skymfg for the arm i have:mad:

I just took my tierod off my 10bolt, chopped it down and had the cut-end tapped for 7/8-18 and have it on there as a straight draglink for now until i figure out what i wanna do. Also the 2wd steering box I mounted up had better lines/pump than mine was so i am using the whole thing, but one of the mounts for the pump needs to be modified cuz its a little off(different year or somethin probably) then fill steering fluid.

Then have to break out the cutting wheel and trim some sheetmetal. get some poser flex pics when I get it all done later this week(then I'll throw the shocks on haha)

This beast has taken a LOT of blood and sweat from me in the past few weeks and has been an AWESOME learning experience because I have never built or really done any serious work on anything like it before. This website has saved my ass a million times over in the past 6 months:bow:.
Could've saved a few dollars here and there on this build but for a first real 4x4 rig, I think it's gonna be worth it to start with all the beefiest stuff that way I can spend more time learning the ropes of wheelin' than spending time in the driveway.

Blood sweat and tear's. That's what most give to there trucks when there dedicated but with the burbs its harder cause there so fat. Glad your learning alot now grab your camera and show us.:D

Driving to get my camera tomorrow and will get some actual wheelin' pics. Actually drove it today. Gotta bleed the breaks again. Also gotta throw some washers under the kingpin caps cuz I experienced "death wobble" for the first time this morning:eek1:

Well the burb did fine on it's maiden voyage. I drove it to about 55-60 miles over to where my family lives. Did great on the highway. Overdrive is still useless though. I guess the 4.56's were cancelled out by the 39's. I will have pics shortly cuz I wheeled it for the first time this morning too. Will have pics up of first body damage already too:doah: Damn tree came outta nowhere :haha:

Damn tree came outta nowhere

They do tend to do that. I had a 75 Maverick that bought the farm when I was 17 due to a white birch tree that kinda, sorta appeared outta nowhere.

And I wasn't showing off my drifting skills for my friends...................................at least very much anyways. :doah:
