Moving the shock tabs is more work than just swapping shocks ... maybe cheaper, but a bunch of cutting and grinding and welding.

Put the lift on but just leave the shocks hanging from the top mounts (not attached at the bottom). Take the truck and flex it out in a ditch or dirt berm. Then see if the shocks have enough up and down travel without bottoming out in either direction.

. Its mainly a road vehicle with an occasional semi flat muddy road or ditch. It has 34x12.5's on it so I need something. I would run with no lift if it didnt require major cutting. I'm trying to keep it as stable as possible for my kid and I've been told in the past that body lifts are bad. This may not be true but I dont know.
