Hey, guys with lifted duallys and bigger tires. I'm planning on running a 295/75/16 all the way around and idk if I need a 2" spacer or a 2.5" spacer in the rear.

What do you think would work best, it is going to be used as a tow rig.

I'm curious to whether hubcentric spacers are needed when running the 16.5" stock dually wheels. And how wide do they need to be to run 37" MT military oz tires, too.

subject covered a lot in the past.

and drw rims are hub centric and require spacer with ring on it to center up .

some use with out and that them . but its not correct and could cause problems.

Kert is running 37's on his....he has custom 16.5 rims (by himself) but he might be able to tell you what spacing is needed.

I have 1.5" spacers with the hubcentric center, they work great but were pricey....quality is what this guys pieces are about though.

I have Goodyear Duratracs 265/75's they have a 10.5 section width, and 31.7 overall height. These 1.5" spacers ended up giving me .75" between the tires on the ground with 45# in each tire, no bedload.

My big question lies in the stock dually rims in both sizes, 16" and 16.5", and whether the 16.5's use the retaining ring like the 16's do.

Most pics of 16.5" rims I've been seeing all over the 'net on duallys don't have a ring and I think I saw a bare budd rim in 16.5" size last week and it had the conical shapes on it for the lug nuts. My thought was that rim never had the retainer ring hence my questioning whether these types of rims can use the hubcentric spacer or not.

Can anyone confirm the 16.5" budd rim using the retainer ring or not?
