2 wheel peel / rebirth of a short bed c-10

as listed and pics before yes .

2.5" drop spindles front and moved up rear hangers 2" and 1" longer diy4x shackles for that extra 1/2" drop to = 2.5 " in rear.

also no not c-30 bar. got that from SPICER memeber here off a 1/2 ton 2wd burban part out along with all hardware and upper a-arm's .

but there is a k30 front crossmember in the 2wd frame i swaped in over the FLIMZY 2wd style unit .

Oh yeah, the one tank has the fuel outlets facing away from the frame

yep its the old 85 tank from left side carb setup. its going to live new life as pass side storage tank / transfer to driver side tank as needed. also trying to find a way to hook up a quick conect hose and nozzle for it to be new gas can setup for home use like lawn mower / atv / and other uses.

sender uniit is specific to driver and pass side on truck tanks . as the pickup sock will now be the wrong way for reg use and lines point out away . no major biggy for my needs tho. :thumb:

If you can find a 1 1/4 bar I'd hop on it. It's crazy how well it works on a light truck.

One thing I did was mount the sway bar between the sway bar mount and the frame , rather than in the factory position. But used a universal bushings because the factory bushings are too tall. I was always hitting the sway bar on parking lot stops and everything else.

I always liked 2.5 spindles with one coil cut. I got crazy a few times, with cutting 2 coils and weird tire sizes, but got sick of replacing control arms all the time. But your only going 2.5 lower so you will be ok.

Do you need the correct tank senders? Or a fuel switching valve?

got my repair panel the other day for the box i am going to use .

it had those fancy stainless steel wheel arch protectors on it . and 1 side held some crap and rusted threw on it.

only going to use around 1/3 of the repair panel so no big deal . atleast i wont be fixing the orignal BAD box. :doah:

at least the repair panel is THICK and not the typical thin crap i have seen before. :D

sticker on back show's 1.20 mm thickness . or 18 gauge steel.

i will get the sticker info and order place for ya next day or 2.

its a whole sale body repair shop supply house we use for 1/2 the stuff we need.

but thay had 1 left for the short bed right front section i needed. it had some dust on it also.

fyi even southern box's get rusty in spots.

this was caused by the aftermarket rock gaurd protectos that were stainless steel. help mud/sand behind and rusted it out.

last was fill in 13 holes each side top rail :eek1::doah:

at 2 points in its life it had 3 boat rope anchor style units on each side . then those were pulled and it had tool boxes each side .

drilled them out a tiny bit to get solid clean metal then just plug welded them all shut.

going to get a extang tonneau cover for it like this one . http://extang.com/docs/fulltilt.html had one on my old truck and loved it .

next step on the box is to d.a. sand the whole thing down to prime and block it out and get ready for paint.

the paint on it is so dryed out its flacking off from severe sun damage . :doah:

what ? ? ? :dunno: first half of post .

second half i have 2 454 bbc but none ready to use. and for the goal of this truck's use the driveline i picked will be perfect.

454 will get used in my k30 trucks .

jealous = jelly

AND I honestly am thinking of selling my Camarrow and keeping the engine for a 2wd short box. Maybe a 69-72 so I can get the 4 link suspension.
