2 wheel peel / rebirth of a short bed c-10

That thing shouldn't give you any trouble for a long time. It's going to be nice to have the trans cooler lines on the same side too. Less frustration. Those lines just don't want to cooperate with me.

how you figure ?

tranny cooler lines on tranny are pass side. thay go to pass over to driver side now.

Huh? Guess I read that wrong. I thought you were saying they were both on the same side now. Looks like you're going to have to do some bending then. Radiator looks like a quality unit. :thumb:

rad hoses are same side since ls has both out pass side.

but with split take rad you have to move the cooler over to left tank .

easy for lines i been doing them for years . and i have yet to order my oil cooler flow valve that will get plumbed in place also to the big aux cooler.

fit good on our reg radiators also . we been using them on here for years . little search show ya some guys writeups.

but ya trim off and notch few spots and 4 simple brackets i be good to go burnout

test fit today with few problems found

rad fits in the hole but its made to the older 73-80 short rad hight . so the ( pic 5 ) upper clamp mounts wont fork .

i had ( pic 4 ) light duty brackets on hand from a 80's v6 truck i stripped for parts . there the style needed or the full top plate style older ones used .

but it does go in and has tons of room to let me add the windstar fans .

That's too bad, I hate the short radiators. It's a nuisance having that cap down below the radiator support.

ya if i had known that sh!t i would have asked more ? or looked otherplaces . had the 4 core brackets in hand / blasted and ready for paint just for this .

and the summit site showed fits into the 80's direct fit . ya it fits but not direct . needs nthe other clamp mount plate setup style. going to check few options this week .

We used some c channel on Mr.Cleans. Same situation.

And then some angle iron massaged down to bolt down to core support. Welded angle to channel, the gasket fit in the channel with some minor trimming.

It's overkill yes, but with some grinding and paint, shouldn't look to hick. And the sob is solid in there. Can move the whole truck by shaking the rad.

He's already got the engine, transmission and axle he's going to use, so I say it's some other kind of goody that is truck-related.
