2 wheel peel / rebirth of a short bed c-10

I found a guy that has new nos gasket for the door handles and locks if you need some.
The cheap ones form LMC (Twain sh*t) already cracked on mine and it stays inside all the time.

So much closer to getting it together, This is when all that work starts to really fell like it was worth it.

front clip is on and 90% lined up .

test fit / look of door handle . I think its going to be sharp blue / blue .

and 1 look from driver area out at hood.

I got blue stuff from old cab .

I did get the t-gate on and adjusted . just need a new handle .

also got the plate bracket in .

had to make a trip to the hardware store today .

then I had to go in the plumbing isle .

I had to get 2 rubber O-rings for the door handle buttons.

I never knew there was such parts in the handles. when I took them apart for blast / paint the old ones fell out in a lot of little chunks and were no good.

these seem to make them a lot more snug and less rattle.

Don't remember if my old ones had the o rings in them when I pulled them apart. But I can tell you the cheap aftermarket one must not have any in them because the button just flops around in them. So I bought an nos set to replace them with

well weather is getting better . so hope to start on this and finish it soon .

did score a rare gmc tailgate trim panel . watched one on egay and even bid. . . but got out bid at 400 shipped. so I kept looking and found one with a buy it now shipped for 140 bucks and had good pics and even sent me a few more I asked for .

I think I am going to paint the panel and get a new gmc emblem for it . plan is the black boarder area go blue on the truck . then the silver area of the whole rest of the panel go white I am going to two tone the truck with .
