20 year old axle U Joints

I say run 'em! Apparently they're never coming out despite any abuse you give them.

If one wasn't wobbling around, I would have. They are a major PITA, but I'm taking your advice and them to a shop.

Cut the ears off of the u joint, then try and beat them out.

Cut so that only the cap and as little joint is left in each ear of the shaft.

And this is the winner. I finally just cut them and beat the caps out. Much better...

Good info since I got the new front in When mine need it I'm heading right for the big cut off wheel. Right now they are still tight with only 30k mi on them, and I'm sure a lot less in 4WD.
