2000 GMT400 CREW CAB SFA SWAP-The Warden: Fuel leak fixed and awaiting surgery…

The ultimate goal for this truck is tow duty/family camping trips/small offroad adventures.
OK....sounds like a plan. And since you're going to be saving money by not putting up a covered walkway......Guess who's buying drinks in Toe-peek-ugh?
Come on up, I got some oatmeal stouts, and some vanilla porters!
Then the rain dumps right on your head...from both sides! :deal:
Gutters campy, gutters!

I like the look.
I like the stance (though I understand why you wanna raise the rear a bit)
I like the hub caps.

Nicely done, sir. :thumb:

Thanks Ethan!

It was a lot of hard work, and it's still not done. But I will say, the vision I have had in my head the whole time is unfolding right there.

Since the wife is all for Blazer Bash this year, it might eat up most of my pitiful amount of vacation time. But we will see.

"Pitiful?" 2 months ago you were all rearin' to go with vacation time to spare. What happened?

Truck should be finished this weekend, er...well driving at least. Camper is coming in the next couple months. Then the new year brings more vacation time for me. We will be up that direction. I promise!

Well, she is wanting to take the week after BB off to do some Utah/Colorado exploring. I get 14 days, and that will take up 8 of them. Not saying it won't work, just saying that we will have to see what becomes of the next couple of months.

Ok, that's cool stuff, too. :D

She has mentioned that she would like to get up north to see some fall colors, so a long weekend in that direction would be quite doable. No Jimmy in tow with that trip.

Speaking from experience (albeit directionally opposite), if you want to get from your location to a place with good fall colors, the weekend will be quite long. If you drove straight North to the MN woods, you'd have a 9 hr trip each way. If you came our direction it would be 11.5 hrs each way. And we're not deep into the woods, the better stuff is further North. You could be in Utah for that kind of travel time.

The quaking aspens in the Wasatch and Uintah mountains are prettier than the flat woodlands of Minnesota and Michigan.

I don't speak whatever that language was.

He said that

steep places > flat places.

I'm going to stay out of that debate (it seems pointless), except to say that there is some pretty awesome country in both topographical regions.

And to repeat my earlier comment that you are a long, long drive away from anywhere with good trees. ;)
