2000 GMT400 CREW CAB SFA SWAP-The Warden: Fuel leak fixed and awaiting surgery…

The ultimate goal for this truck is tow duty/family camping trips/small offroad adventures.
couple questions for you,
what are those mirrors off of and what did you do about the anti lock or what ever its called in the front axle? I've got an 2000 k2500 i'd like to fix up and am considering putting some super duty axles under it from an 05.
thanks.

I got the mirrors off of ebay. I think they were "Cool View" brand maybe? It's been a while.

I have not done anything with the ABS sensors yet. I'm still trying to figure out if I even want ABS on the truck, it's kind of nice not having it right now.

As for the '05 Super 60 axle, they are different then the axle I used. Those come off the newer trucks that are coil and radius arm suspension. They are a great axle, just a lot more work to get them under these trucks.

I never did mention, after I did the axle swap, my brakes improved greatly. The dual piston calipers from the Ferd axle are a great upgrade. It takes so much less effort to stop the truck, and the truck stopped way better while towing. So that's a plus.

These came into work today. They were cheap enough, so I snagged them. 285/75r16's 10ply.

My coopers that are on there now are nice, they are just cupped pretty bad from the previous owner. I'll put these on some time this year before next winter. A plus is that they were off of a dually, so there are 6 of them :thumb:

How convenient. I happen to be in need of exactly two 285/75R16 tires at this present time.

Oh, no, good sir. Not the ones that you need. You have 2 extras that you aren't needing. :deal:
Oh, I'm smelling what you are stepping in now.

NO, I'm greedy. 1's going to be a spare, and I think the other has a hole in it. I need to check that.
