And if you can smell my boots all the way down there you should probably get your nose checked. That's no beano.
So I'm throwing in the towel on these front springs. I just can't keep driving this around and beating myself up with how stiff the ride is. I will be trying a couple different things/spring combos out to see what will end up working. I really need to find a used set of 2" lift springs like @blazinzuk originally said.
I think more than him told you this . . .No sir. I wish.I thought had a set of ords floating around
2" ORD customs? Perfection.I thought had a set of ords floating around
I totally agree. It's convincing the wifey of the price tag that's the hard part.2" ORD customs? Perfection.
Pretty sure they'd put you wheee ever you wanted to be
I totally agree. It's convincing the wifey of the price tag that's the hard part.

That's why I have been keeping an eye out for some used 2" lift springs. I want to test the height before I spend all the monies on the good ones from ORD.I have a hard enough time just convincing myself of the price dag, there are far cheaper ways to get 2" of lift.![]()
I talked to Stephen for a while when I originally ordered all the parts for the swap. He wanted me to put some cheap springs in at first so we could get good numbers and measurements. I may just tough it out with these springs and go for the ORD ones this summer.Have you called ORD and talked to them about what you want?
It is the family camping wagon ya know
I came across a rust free white crew cab we have at an LKQ in Texas. I have the LH rear door coming for sure, waiting to see pictures on the LH front. My rear door is worse than the front. The rear is only going to cost $100. Should be bolt on and go.
This is the rust at the bottom. Bad compared to other regions? No. But for $100 and 10 minutes, I'll go this route.

It's pretty nice when the rust is just on the replaceable part...super easy fix! Thought 1: Why didn't you buy the entire crew cab?
Thought 2: You're gonna need a better picture of that rust. I don't remember seeing any when I looked at it, it must be pretty minor. It's pretty nice when the rust is just on the replaceable part...super easy fix!

Answer to thought #1: I don't need the rest. This truck is spotless elsewhere, well minus the whole "missing clearcoat thing".

I don't think the cab is good. Looks like the bed got into the back of it.Oh, not for your own use. I'm sure you could easily find a club member looking for a spotless, perfect crew cab.![]()
And now the "rust" of the story...(best Paul Harvey voice you can do)
