2000 GMT400 CREW CAB SFA SWAP-The Warden: Fuel leak fixed and awaiting surgery…

The ultimate goal for this truck is tow duty/family camping trips/small offroad adventures.
I always use walmart maxx batteries. For a couple reasons. They are or at least used to be made by Johnson controls. Second no matter where I’m at or what time it is walmart will be close by and open….

That's why for my big rig I used Napa instead of freightliner.

I’ve run a pair of Odysseys for the last 8 years with solid performance. All 12V parallel. I think there’s also a private label version that’s in the die hard lineup, too. They met three criteria: AGM, diesel rated (glow cycle and vibration), and US made.

That third one narrows the field, considerably.

Napa batteries are made by Deka currently and I have had great success with Deka in the past. Personally I run Cat batteries in everything at work and also my personal stuff since I get good pricing on them.

Plugs...

I would go to True Value and find something. They have lots of stuff, just need to find the correct size.

Came across a good deal on some H2 takeoffs. $200 for some badly painted wheels and some ok 35x12.50 tires. A trip to the car wash proved to be enough to remove most of the horrible black paint. The hub didn’t clean as well, but that will have a cap over it anyways.

Plan is to slap them on this weekend and see how they look.

Super nice score! I had been looking for more (mainly one for a spare) and ended up driving 3 hours to get one.
