UBERBEANS, you asked for specifics on Gremlins. My daughter has an '01 Jetta 2.0 liter gas. The first time it had to be towed was because she didn't know you had to click the gas cap 4 or more times or the computer would freak out. The second time she was in line at a car wash and she couldn't get the transmission out of park. Seems there's some brake pedal lock-out switch that went haywire and doesn't release the auto trans to come out of park. The third time was in the middle of nowhere in the desert and a fusable link fried for no known reason and stranded her. There were several other times but I don't have time now, I have to get back to work.
By the way, why is this on a k5 site and not a VW site?
