2000 Silverado 1500 2wd ball joint replacement..

Has anybody replaced the ball joints on this type of vehicle? They have to be pressed in and I don't know if there is a tool or not that you can use to press them in. The other thing I am worried about it how to relieve the tension on the coil spring.

thay still press in like any other. and just put truck up on jack stand and remove spindle. the shock will hold it and also put the jack under the lower arm to help hold tension on it.

then press out and install new.

some of the upper arm styles have non replacable ball joints. then you need to buy the complet arm. also if thats the cast you will need alignment after replaced .
