2003 Duramax -Injectors done, and front end rebuild overdue.

DD/Tow rig
It's probably bundled up and tied to a chunk of the harness under the air intake tube from the air filter box to the engine and just in front of the fuel filter assembly. Easiest access is to pull the intake tube out of the way. You should be able to see it and clip the zip tie they have it held in with.

I am so set for this winter! Glad it’s over now lol.

Well I found it!!! So cool. Also found the window sticker from the dealer in the glove box. 1 owner trucks are fun.

Where do the block heaters come out from on these trucks? It has the K02 rpo code for the block heater.

Under or behind the back seat?
The clips aren’t bent over if it hasn’t been used before... they are a bitch to bend over! And like Zoo said don’t try to put it on in the cold.
I use the mine in the winter. The heater works better with it.
Cool it was still with the truck!

I didn’t pull it out of the plastic yet.

There should be tabs with snap buttons in the bag.
They go under the push pins for the plastic cover right above the grill under the hood. Instructions should be in the bag.
Yeah instructions were in there. We’re pretty much done with winter, so I’ll check it out next fall.

How soon will you be looking for a fifth wheel for those rails? I just bought a truck with that style in it but I will end up doing a B&W turnover ball setup so I have it for a gooseneck and I already have a B&W Companion fifth wheel so the rail style one will eventually go bye bye.

A sheet of cardboard or something similar between the intercooler and radiator lets some air through the charge cooler but still keeps the rad covered for quicker warm ups. You have to take the rad cover off to do it but it works. This was my brother's trick so he could hot rod it a little in the winter and keep egts more under control. I used the cover till I was towing and it was a pain to put on.

Replace injectors now. If they were just replaced, get ready to replace them. LB7s like them to be fresh. I can't find and/or remember the place I was recommended so call around a little. Taking care of the injectors is also in order, lift pump, extra filtration, keeping up on water removal and a regular additive schedule are all the common things. On a stock vehicle injector changes aren't as frequent. On my built LB7 I was told (after losing a cylinder due to injectors at 58K miles) that as low as 30-40K miles would be a good idea. I don't remember anything else about the drivetrain that was really more than just maintenance. I'd be curious to see the injector story for it so far, at 160K it either has had injectors or needs them. With hard use maybe twice but with an all stock engine maybe it's on originals.

Having an issue where it says my right rear door is open when it’s not. I read that the latch is the sensor for the door switch, well that has been replaced and it’s still saying it’s open. Anyone ran into this issue? @max 02

I haven’t... but our truck is low options.

I spray GM Super lube on switches and hinges that shit fixes all kinds of issues.

Yep, the wire leading to the latch for the switch is probably broken. It's probably broken in the door jamb where the wires pass through. Could be broken inside the door, but the most common spot is the pass through.

The back foot on my mega cab had like 6 of the 8 wires broken. They give the door full 90 degree homes but only enough wires for 85 degrees lol damn dodges. Might check there first.

His is a crew cab with forward hinges. But the same thing can happen. I will admit extended cab Colorado's were the worst culprit for that problem. Pretty easy to figure out on those though. The rear speakers are in those rear doors and usually, you'll lose the speaker on the same side the door ajar warning comes on.

So is mine. The hinges are on the b pillar.
I lost speaker, window, door lock, and occasionally door ajar before I finally got after it.

Im headed (against governors mandatory stay home orders) to Toledo to pick up a new project!
Give an update of your first experience w towing.
Good luck Greg.
And I should be rolling into Northern Kansas to pick up that 64C10, maybe we could meet up on my way back to MI.?
