2003 Duramax -Injectors done, and front end rebuild overdue.

DD/Tow rig
So my wife and I brought this truck home last night from Harrisonville, MO.

2003 Silverado 2500HD Duramax. 4x4 with the Allison 5 speed. Has 160k miles and was a 1 owner truck. The truck is completely stock. No tune, no exhaust, not even cranked torsion bars. It does have some HT 265’s on it now, but may change that later.

This will mainly be a maintenance thread and tech questions thread since the Duramax is fairly new territory for me.

This truck is replacing the 6.5 of its towing duties, but it is not replacing it completely. It is however completely replacing the Harley truck. My dad wants it back to fix the hail damage and rockers, then enjoy it before I buy it back in a few years lol.

Getting a drink before the drive home last night.

First thing to do was pull off the big shield and polish up underneath it. Also fixed the rattling hood from the broken bumpers on the radiator support. Then gave it a bath and wipe down from all the dealer dust (armourall).

The interior is charcoal gray, and in phenomenal shape.

The bed was heavily used, but I could care less. It’s a truck. I need to get a gooseneck plate for my rails, but it is wired up for the 7 pin in the bed.

Now it’s parked in the new DD slot.

Lol

I did have a question for you Dean, and maybe @ZooMad75 might know. Any idea what the V10 Cold Climate package is on these truck?

Yep, cold front for the grill. Pro-tip: don't try to put it on when it's really cold. It sounds stupid, but the material shrinks in cold and is a major biatch to get installed.

I've probably seen one truck around here with it installed. The engine usually doesn't have a problem building heat even down to 0 degrees.

Well I found it!!! So cool. Also found the window sticker from the dealer in the glove box. 1 owner trucks are fun.

Where do the block heaters come out from on these trucks? It has the K02 rpo code for the block heater.
