My mothers Tahoe cluster just went on the fritz. turn the key on and it does nothing.. no gauges, indicator lights, or back lights. checked the fuse and its ok... I took both battery cables off and touched them together to reset the system and it worked for a day or two now the problem came back.. any help??

There is a known issue with the stepper motors for the guages themselves.

2003 would be the prime time years for that issue. I don't know what to say about the whole cluster going down

Stepper motor fix is DIY easy.

This is a very common problem with these trucks. Im pretty sure you need to replace the whole gauge cluster itself. You can probably bet one from a salvage yard, but I would probably try an new aftermarket, or new OEM.
