2007 Build at a Glance

OK; let's get this straight, we try everything we are told to do on the steering by the experts on Pirate
confused.gif
, we verify everything is plumbed correctly including sizes, we try everything and Willyswanter's Mom without looking at the truck but having seen a picture one time of JR's buggy comes in while I'm stressing over the steering and out of no where says, "The lines are too small, I think JR's are bigger"

. Then based on the woman with NO mechanical experience
eek.gif
we change all the lines to 1/2", bleed the system and we have no noise now, WHO IS HELPING HER OR TOLD HER TO SAY THAT?

That is an awesome story, glad to hear it. Inspiration comes at the strangest times and from the oddest places.

Jason’s Plaques arrived yesterday as scheduled and they are perfect and we are very happy with them (pictures from Moab to follow). I went out last night and purchased everything I could imagine we would need to install the Moab plaque on a rock face. Brought it all home in 5 Lowe’s bags. Today I was looking at all the crap I bought and Willyswanter’s Mom walked by and said “There’s a canvas tool bag in Jason’s apartment; why don’t you put all of it in there, it will be easier to carry”. Once again I thought (to myself) she’s crazy, all this won’t fit. But as a good husband wanting to prove her wrong, I went to J’s place and found the bag which was full of broken electrical parts; must be his trash bag from his trouble shooting jobs. I cleaned it and set down next to my 5 full bags of crap and started loading it and you guessed it, it all fit perfectly and exactly, no extra room. Then; just as I told her it all fit, “Spirit In The Sky” started playing on the radio like it was planned; Willyswanter’s Mom just turned towards me and smiled. No more words were spoken, I just went out side to be alone - again.

Day one at Moab is over and Hells Revenge is history as the Truggy showed its abilities. Lots of pictures will be posted soon and you will see 4 wheeling, 3 wheeling and a couple of times 2 wheeling but that brings on the pucker power. Every time Este and I stopped for fuel of food people lined up and started taking pictures, we’re famous; OK maybe not but our paparazzi was everywhere. Truggy went places no other truck would go and not one thing went wrong, everyone that worked on the truggy should be every proud, it is incredible.

Had a great group of people to wheel with today and look forward to tomorrow.

When the lines start forming the tickets start selling. Kids probably wanted rides??Check the Jungle Gym before operating in any rocky areas.
Glad all is well keep up the fun.

I am glad day one went without a hitch. With how that thing is built is should be one of the the most capable vehicles on the trails today.

Day 1 went on without a hitch. Got on Hells revenge and had a great time.

Day 2 went just as well. A couple of problems on some of the vehicles including the LIMO but nothing that couldn't be taken care of. We ran Pritchit Canyon and had a blast. Jason built this rig to conquer any obstacle and that is what it did. :smokin:

Sorry I don't have any more pics. My internet connection sucks and it takes forever to download them. Once I get back home I will shoot them all on and you guys can look at them for days. Total pics of our group so far is in the 600 range.

What a day, set Jason’s plaque at Gold Bar Rim and I need someone from CK5 to remove the remaining tape and take more pictures on Sunday’s run. We left a piece of tape along the bottom of the plaque so no epoxy would seep out and deface any rocks. I had an unbelievable amount of great help and it turned out perfect.

Now for the rest our Gold Bar / Golden Spike / Poison Spider trip; it started at ±8AM and ended at ±11PM. After placing the plaque we all headed out to complete the trails. Had some unbelievable fun wheeling along trails then around 5 PM we realize we were about 1/3 of the way through the trails with less than 3 hours left so we decide to try and make some time and just a few minutes later Cracker’s steering took a dump. Tried to fix and decided to have J’s Truggy pull Cracker home. Then about 2/3 of the way along the trails and about 9PM it was decided to park Cracker’s truck and continue to camp with about 3 or 4 rigs and around seven guys going back out at 6AM to attempt to fix it or tow it out while not dark and a lot safer.

Lastly, I don’t think you will see pictures tonight, everyone just too tired.

Not much of an update. I didn't get all the pictures from everyone's camera since we got back so late and everyone was tired, so I will post these 2 so you have something to look at.

The first is the placement of the plaque. It's off the beaten path so if you know to look for it you will see it. Otherwise it won't be seen. The group liked this idea better than putting it out in the open where it highlights the spot. Everyone agreed that Jason wouldn't have liked that.

The second picture was taken at the crack located on Golden Spike.

The park service let you put the plaque in the park? Or is it on private property?
