I bent and tacked some coilover hoops for the front end a few weeks ago. Talk about a PITA to notch! Kert and I are coordinating trips so that we'll use my truck and trailer to move project Grade 8, and then I'll haul the buggy back home...just makes it easier for both of us.

Once it gets back here, it will either go into one of two garages, or a storage shed, I haven't decided yet. Because of the recent election, I'm planning and building funds for building the AR lowers I have around, so buggy money is currently being diverted for those projects.

It's a victim of circumstance at the moment, and unfortunately there are no updates to speak of.

So what, you're going to be shooting the rocks this spring instead of driving over them? :flipoff:
 
No, I can already shoot rocks, AR's will allow me to shoot rocks faster. :p:

My old roommate is hell-bent on taking me on a wheeling trip ASAP to get me to focus on the buggy again, but it's pretty much now or never for the rifles, and I already have three stripped lowers here (what the ATF qualifies as a firearm) so I might as well build them into a pre-ban configuration.

Hell, if buggy funds get tight, I can probably sell a couple of them for 2-3 times what I have into them after another AWB passes. :haha:
 
Cool deal i was just talking about you're build the other day.
A friend of mine is building a similar rig with a sm420 and a v drive to an atlas, motor in rear like you have.
 
Well, it finally got moved into a garage tonight. Progress will resume shortly. I've been blowing my stash building firearms for the past year, so I don't have anywhere near the money I need to finish it out right now, but I also have a LOT of things that I can do that require very little money. I have two huge tubs full of parts, a lot of other random parts laying around, and a full set of wheels and tires that will require very little money to finish and mount.

It'll be ~7" taller in the end at ride height on the final tires. We just kinda stuck stuff where it fit. Some major components got redone a couple of times to keep it looking good.

Tubing is all 1.75" .120 wall DOM.
 
Just so you two are aware, I sold this thing after I got home from Ft. Benning last year to provide a little extra funding in order to go to grad school and get my master's degree.

It sucks, but life happens and hopefully I'll build another in the future.
