Geez, this year has blown by so fast that had a couple of you not taken the time to PM me and ask about the calendars, I might have completely forgotten.......:doah:

Anyhow, I just got the go ahead from Steve to proceed with the 2010 Rigs of CK5 calendar project. TONS of you already know about it, but there are quite a few new guys around this year, so I'll quickly fill you in.

Every year, Kim and I donate our time to organize/set up/distribute the Rigs of CK5 calendar. We accept submissions of HQ pics sent in by supporting members, and around the end of September we settle on the final 12 as well as the highly coveted cover page spot. We usually start pre-selling the calendars sometime in August and the sales page closes down in mid-October.

The calendars normally sell for somewhere between $16-18, depending on the exchange rate. If things stay as they are, we might be able to get them close to $17 per copy, as long as shipping hasn't gone up again.........:surepal:

So, as usual, I'm asking those of you who are interested in one or more copies to speak up in this thread so I can get an idea of what kind of numbers we are looking at.

If you have any questions, feel free to shoot me a PM. Early next week I'll post up an info thread for those of you who would like to submit a pic for consideration.

I'm in for two this year, just remind me when its time to pay.

I also want to add that if anyone wants a Sub-Culture Calendar this year, nows the time to start submitting. I'll start another thread tomorrow for the Sub-Culture submission rules.

I'm down for 2 and i'll be seeing what i can come up with for a submission pic.

A quick question. Has anyone in the owner or mod category discussed posting up the previous years calendars on the site? Once the year has gone past, nobody is going to buy them anymore and I'm wondering if they would generate more interest in upcoming versions. Of course you would not want to post the previous year right away otherwise some would simply hold out until they could see it for free but perhaps all versions two years old and prior could be put in a thread? Just a thought and since my rig is finally pretty much done, I may throw mine in the hat this go around.

Holy Gabrone! Has a year really gone by that fast.....

Sponsored.

I'm pretty sure it's been mentioned before, Doug, but it never really took off. Maybe I'll look into it a little further this year.....

I'm in for 2, who knows, maybe I'll even submit a pic this year! :eek1:

Also, since I never paid that much attention to the guidelines for submission, can you recap them for us? Is there a specific size? Do we need wimmins in the pics? etc.

I'll post up the details in a seperate "submission" thread, but here's a quick rundown:

-Pics need to be a minimum 1200x1600 pixels. The bigger, the better. Taken "long side down", if possible. No out of focus pics.

-Action shots w/awesome background scenery will win over a poser pic every time.

-All rigs are welcome, from heavily modded truggies to fugly stockers. This is not a beauty contest.

That's it in a nutshell.
