I am about to install my 465/203/205. I decided not to clock it, so the front output is in it's normal position. Anyone got any pictures of crossmembers they fabbed up I could take a look at?

formuds isnt clocked and he runs one flat 205 crossmember under the doubler adapter...here is the beginings of mine im gonna make something to come off the rear output though to support the 205...

Looking good! I decided not to clock mine up because I want to keep my pinion angle coming off the my front axle good. I am thinking about making a full tube crossmember. My issue right now is that I am running a 208 adapter between my 465 and 203 and it is 5 inches higher than the adapter between the 203 and 205. Keep me updated on your crossmember.

I clocked mine up 3", doesn't really hurt the front driveline angle because with the doubler that just got a fair chunk longer. My front driveline is about 40", and even clocked I'm able to run 1410's at both ends without any trouble.

Jay, by "flat" crossmember you're talking about one from a 1 ton, right? that's what it looks like but I wanted to be sure.

Oh really . Well I went the long route when putting the doubler in too. I gained I believe 9" or so and I also moved my front axle forward 3" in the process of putting my 52's up front. I will have to mock it up and see how it looks. Thanks for the input!!

yeah mine is a 1 ton but you could use the front section of a 203 crossmemeber out of a blazer...actually i would suggest that over the 1 ton because of the narowness

I have the truck on hand now, but am about to drop the tranny and doubler...so if you want measurements or better pic's the time would be soon. ;)

No...this is my set-up:

NV4500/203/205 using the NWF kit, range box and built 205.

It's pretty long too, so it's probably relevant. It's 48" from the face of the bellhousing at the motor to the rear output.

Thanks...took me quite a while to get it all together. Now it's going in my '87 Crew Cab.

If I understand the measurement you want...the top of the mount for the doubler adaptor is 1/2" below the bottom of the frame rail.

Unless you have a NV4500 the front mount isn't relevant.
