started about a year ago. doesnt do it ALL the time, only when i really need it. my co-pilot can put a foot down to hold it when it happens, but it would be nice to fix it for good.
i have been thinking this is because the linkage needs adjusting or the 1" body lift i have.
can anyone share their experience with this difficulty.
thank you in advance.

join the crowd, man. i use a bungie cord hooked to the bottom of the dash to keep mine in. works good so far.

mine did that in the middle of a trail i would hold it as tight as i could but it would still pop out. my lock nut on my linkage backed off so it was floating back and fourth. check that first if thats not it check your tranfer mounts. if thats not it look inside the case you might have some worn out parts.

Mine did that and I got tired of having friends or the wife hold it down. If I was alone then I was SOL, so I dumped the 203 for the 205. Problem solved :)

The gear is worn on the edges really bad and there isn't enough meat to hold it in when you throtle into it.Since you have to break the case open you might as-well replace the chain.

my wife pulled that duty to but i have'nt had a problem since i tighten the nuts up.

Mine does the same thing, only worse....my friend first broke the seat back from pushing it in with his foot, then finally the seat broke through the rusty floor....yes, she's pretty rusty, but has 18 inches of lift, 40 inch tires, and headers thru the hood....it's been parked for awhile and i have to resurect it....gonna toss the body and put either a 1/2 ton cab or an s-10 ext cab....also have an 89 astro van here with no motor.....was thinking of using that body, but i would like to keep the weight down.....Ed
