whitch pto will work with my 203? one for a 465 or one from a 205, or does not even matter.

The only PTO's I've ever dealt with are either direct transmission mounted (mounted to the side of the transmission thru an inspection plate at the transmission) or belt driven PTO/ pump set ups off of the accessory drives. Never dealt with one or heard of one driving off of a transfer case. Sorry.

specific to each tranny or tcase.

i have a front output pto for a 203 . but not able to get to it for a bit.

sm465 take a 32 tooth pto
np205 take a 35 tooth pto
np203 take a 36 tooth pto

did some looking of my own

I've got one on my 205, but its so covered in mud and grease, I can't get the numbers off.
Plus there is a big honking hydraulic pump hooked to it that is in the way.

i need juet a pto with an out put shaft, a hydro pto will not work for what i need, plus the pto has to be off a np203 t-case. the gears in side r cut differently and have different tooth counts. thanks any ways tho.

PTO input gear

Download the applications catalog from Parker for Chelsea PTO's. Pick your model PTO and download the parts/instalation manual. It will list the parts breakdown and the input gears available for that PTO model. For instance: I used a Chelsea Model 352 reversable PTO installed on a NP205 transfer case. It required Chelsea #5P-1019 input gear to be installed in the PTO case. The direction of the output was selected to be towards the rear, but forwards was also possible. Most Chelsea PTO units can be made to fit most regular truck transmissions and transfer cases. The same is true for Muncy PTO's.

this i know but im trying to keep the cost of the pto down by finding a 203 pto to go on to my 203 rang box.

i dont want a 205, grrrr. and i just test fitted a pto off of a sm465 and the gears r cut the same way but they do not engauge currectly to a pto from a sm465 will not work. one down one to go.

if i ever put my truck on its lid i be come suisidle and homisidle

winching up-side-down???

What is it?? Every one wants to winch there truck up-side down. In over thirty years of driving off road I have never placed my vehicle up-side-down. Is it a new fad?? If you like to be up-side-down all the time, build a vehicle that is right-side-up-up-side-down, then you will be up-side-down-right-side-up all the time.

You have never been to Moab I guess.....

And a PTO winch is pointless if your truck isnt running for one reason or another.

I have two PTOs. I got them at a swap meet cheap. I've never tested them to see what they fit. The tought was to use them to power hydraulics or a pump for on board air. A 110v generator also would be cool.
