That was a lot of work for these. Axle is sitting on jacks. I was able to get a full size vise grip on them, after pulling the brake lines.

7mm x 1.0 threads. The extra I have here are all 3/8". O'Reilly's is open and has them.
If any brake line seems to give trouble i always go to the vise grip, I get as tight as I can and give it a couple of taps until it cracks open, that way the nut is still good enough to fit in an open wrench.
Then I replace the line when I am done

I have not had the same luck with vice grips on brake lines lol.

I haven't update this for a while.

Had a bad road bump clunk show up on the left front. I crawled around under it multiple times looking for something loose. Prybars on everything. Finally found the issue. The new caliper retainer spring clip was flat. Not spring steel. Used an old one. Fixed.

The tune I paid good money for work, but was never correct. I started communicating with a guy in Oregon. "When I get it all fixed, you can pay me."

I discussed all of the following with the original tuner, no resolution.

Starting it, it ran really fat and rough. 20 seconds later, it would smooth out.

Would start and fire out the right side exhaust once.

Light throttle would hang up at low speed. Bumped it into neutral once and it ran to 3k RPM.

Throttle was never real responsive.

Would shift funny 3 to 4. This was my biggest issue because these transmissions die if not right.

RPM surge during deceleration.

The guy read my tune after I sent it. With all of the specs.

Sent me one. Loaded and cold start log. Then warm engine idle log.

Sent another back for another warm idle log.

The next was a drive under normal conditions.

Then normal with one 40mph start WOT pull.

Then a couple of zero 60 WOT pulls.

Holy crap, what a difference. Throttle snaps now.

He responded within 30 minutes after each log sent to him.

I was going to going T&T Friday, but I found a wheel weight next to the left front wheel. Next week.

Then the locker, tap shift and slicks will go on it for the next run.

A good tuner makes all the difference. Had a known good tuner do my 14 Silverado. Widely recommended. Truck didn’t seem to run any different but the intake growl was obnoxiously loud. Sounded like he had the throttle blade going 100% at like 30% throttle but the truck wouldn’t pick up speed that quick. Had another guy that tuned on the side take a crack at it and it woke that truck up big time.

I hate it when factories or tuners do that, make the throttle curve more aggressive than the foot pedal to make it "feel" like its faster than it is at so called "part throttle". When I give it a third throttle, I want it at 1/3 not 1/2 or 2/3 or something other than 1/3. Even the OEM does it.... :mad2:

Yeah, that was my biggest gripe about newer cars with drive by wire, back when I worked at the shop. It seemed like so many of them (usually Japanese) had not much difference between 1/3rd throttle and full throttle.

Went to Knoxville Dragway for test n tune this evening.

Stopped at the gate to pay my $15. Drove into the pits, plugged the computer in to log the runs.
Forgot the mount for the Gopro. Tied my dash cam to my phone. Forgot to start it.
Previous best was 9.93 at 72.9.
First run was a tire spinner. 3.066 at 60'. 10.606 at 73.04.
Second had a better driver. Rolled through 1st and mashed in 2nd. 2.39 at 60'. 9.648 at 73.408.
Third showed consistency. 2.273 at 60'. 9.510 at 73.43 personal best for the truck.
Drove it home.
Never got out of the truck.

I had a least 10 people stop me and ask what was in it.

"Just a little small block". :D
